What to expect after booking your wedding!
There is so much to think about when it comes to planning a wedding and we want to make sure it is as stress free as possible for you! Keep on track with our checklist to keep everything organised.
Immediately After Booking
- Read through My Wedding Confirmation and check all the details are correct
- Set up a direct debit scheme to keep on top of payments
- Understand the legal requirement process
- Check your passports are valid
- Make sure you have all the paperwork you need and order certified copies if necessary
- Make a note of your critical & legal timeline dates Send save the dates to your wedding guests
Once your Holiday is Available to Book
- Book your holiday arrangements with your Perfect Weddings Abroad specialist
- Receive booking confirmation summary & receipt (by email)
- Take advantage of your wedding Guest Incentive Scheme and encourage your wedding guests to book their holiday arrangements with PWA
- Take out travel insurance policy
- Take out wedding insurance policy
In The Lead-Up to your Wedding Day!
- Choose your wedding attire
- Confirm your UK wedding reception venue (if applicable)
- Create your wedding gift list

- Plan hen/stag parties!
6 Months Before the Wedding
- Check again that you have your Birth Certificates and any other relevant paperwork to hand
- Confirm your wedding decor arrangements with our selection of suppliers
- Start to finalise your wedding extras
Around 16 Weeks Before you Depart the UK
- Finalise any outstanding payments / holiday balance
5 - 3 Months Before the Wedding
- Finalise your plans! Our UK Wedding Experience Team or your in resort wedding coordinator will be in touch to assist with booking all of your extras.
- Confirm your wedding guest list
- Consider the menus and dietary requirements for your guests
- Confirm your wedding decor and any special wedding extras
- Commence your legal documentation. Please refer to your legal pack for the exact start dates for your destination.
Around 6 Weeks Before you Depart the UK
- Pre-Book in-resort excursions with our Concierge Team
- Pre-Book airport car parking / VIP lounge with our Concierge Team
- Add on any additional hold baggage
- Pre-book your flight seats
- Submit Advanced Passenger Information (API) on airline's website
Around 4 Weeks Before you Depart the UK
- Confirm final guest numbers with your overseas wedding coordinator via your wedding profile
- Advise of menu choices and any dietary requirements
- Finalise your wedding extras and make the final payment.
- Provide your completed legal documentation for checking
Around 2 Weeks Before you Depart the UK
- Collate all final wedding documents & tickets
- All Legal Documents must be completed
- Complete your online check-in
